Creativity has been a consistently delightful part of my journey through life. Since I was little, I’ve reached for pen and paper, a musical instrument, or something I could take apart and put back together. In a way I only understood later in life, I’ve always looked for ways to assemble the smaller parts I’ve had access to, to build something with more meaning. I am a creator, endlessly curious of the simpler picture wrapped in a complex image, or the complexity underneath a simple object.
I have a formal education in UX design, and human-computer interaction, and an endless combination of experiences working professionally in Design, UX and Product.
My aspirations are to influence the world of design in a way that makes it more creative, enjoyable for people, and inclusive. I’ve found myself move continuously from a curious, multi-disciplined designer, to a specialised individual contributor, to a manager, and now department head. Through all of it, though, I’ve found meaning and purpose that is rooted in design, knowing I’m doing exactly what I was meant to do.
